About Us

My journey started on my arrival home in 1975 from living overseas for 4 years - one year in England and three in Germany.  Out driving one day and I see this absolutely stunning dog in someone's yard.  Instantly I knew I had to have one of my own.  Then I had to find out the breed.  Had never seen one before and even though I lived in Germany for those 3 years, not once did my eyes spy one.

After finding out they were WEIMARANERS, I started hunting the newspapers and found a litter.  Joy of joys!  I had my first Weimaraner!  Little "Beethoven"  (Lilwin Blitzkrieg) was the runt of the litter and completely won my heart over.  Over the years this little runt grew into a fine big Weimaraner and I was hooked forever. To this day I still adore his mother's name - Spookytooth Misty Moon.

I have imported semen from the U.S.A. - firstly from the beautiful Bogie (Am Ch Top Hat's Top Gun BROM), then Am Ch Smokey City EZ Moonstone JH NRD V BROM (Monroe) and just recently Am Ch Top Hat's Big Wave Surfer (Maverick).
Along with Kathleen Rogers, we imported in the flesh "Smokey" (Am Ch Luchbach's All Fired Up NRD).  To all these great Weimaraners and their owners/breeders, THANK YOU for your incredible contribution to Hollowhills.

Along with the imports came the exports.  Hollowhills has proudly exported to New Zealand, Sweden, Finland, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and the USA.

With these imports and exports came very treasured and wonderful long lasting friendships.

"the hollow hills.... Merlin the 'enchanter' and healer gifted with The Sight is able to move in and out of the different worlds at will. Merlin's legend is linked with the caves of glass, the invisible towers, the hollow hills where he now sleeps for all time. The hollow hills are the physical point of entry between this world and the Otherworld, and Merlin is their human counterpart, the meeting pointfor the interlocking worlds of men, gods, beasts and twilight spirits."
